International Training

At Bear Soles we design and deliver training in a number of areas, both online and in-person:

During the design phase we work with clients to understand their requirements and then we proceed by:

  • Delivering courseware, we already have, with context and branding added to meet the needs of each specific client
  • Developing courseware with your subject matter experts
  • Delivering courseware, you already have – but delivered by us using our highly interactive approach.

We have courses ready to go in the following areas:

  1. Presentation and Communication Skills
  2. Effective Teamworking and Collaboration
  3. Critical Thinking and Innovation
  4. Leadership and Management
  5. Stakeholder Management
  6. Conflict Management
  7. Emotional Intelligence and Psychological Safety

Topics in more detail:

1. Presentation and Communication Skills

We use 2 trainers over 2 or 3 days to enable participants to cover a wider range of presentation topics, tailored to the needs of the group. This can involve presenting from the front of the room, presenting as if using Teams or Zoom and also making a greater impact in meetings.

This course stretches the participants and we video each presentation so participants get pinpointed accurate feedback after each.

The result is that everyone gets on their client's agenda when presenting and practises new techniques to ensure they make a strong emotional and logical connection with their audience.

The overall outcome is that graduates of the course have learnt to make a greater impact on their audience so they can achieve better outcomes for themselves and their business.

2. Effective Teamworking and Collaboration

Most of us work in teams. The interpersonal dynamics of our teams determines how successful we are and more importantly how happy we are. We spend a lot of our time at work so it makes sense that we invest in making team working as harmonious as possible. When we achieve this it enables us to collaborate more effectively and really achieve greater results.

3. Critical Thinking and Innovation

Critical thinking and the ability to be creative and come up with new ideas is perhaps one of the hardest skills to develop and one of those most prized by employers. New ideas give us the possibility to create advantage by changing the competitive playing field rather than working harder or by reducing costs.

4. Leadership and Management

We look at the process of being in charge of people and processes and the means by which we become more effective at doing this. We consider areas such as delegation, goal setting, negotiation, influencing, employee engagement, communication skills, motivation factors, setting clear expectations, listening skills as well as teamwork and collaboration.

5. Stakeholder Management

It’s common that some of our important business goals are achieved through internal or external stakeholders. Analysing and then consciously managing these relationships enables us to get better outcomes by design.

6. Conflict and Values Management

Our values (and those of our company) are important indicators of behaviour – when colleagues fundamentally disagree at a values level significant conflict can arise. We use this course to uncover values and then enable the use of a conflict management model to consider other ways to respond which give us new choices and hopefully better outcomes for both parties.

7. Emotional Intelligence and Psychological Safety

Enabling the best from the people that work for us means allowing them to express themselves even when they have a critical message. This means we have to set the stage to enable critical communications that add to our overall mission rather than attack it. This requires to take an honest look at the atmosphere we help create and the way we navigate this using Emotional Intelligence.

What Others Say

"Pete, I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you – this is a genuine and sincere thanks, I really do believe you have awoken a drive and a want in me, and this you have done by not just delivering the course content but by being an extremely good tutor.  I have never come across a tutor (and I have done a lot of training in my RAF days) that can engage with a full room of people, there was a want and a need to get as much information out of you as opposed to the normal clock watching and not really having time to listen. Kindest regards"

M McCurdie, UK

"Elaine did a fantastic job at building a safe and engaging environment where everyone could feel welcome, express themselves, learn and grow. The balance between knowledge transfer and practice was right, and the training material interesting and appropriate. I'd highly recommend the experience."

Participant, Ansys, UK

"感谢你们来给我们公司同事做培训,通过三次的培训我拿到好多收获。我要把学到的知识也传递给身边的人,让我们部门的业绩也越来越好。"

(Translation: Thank you for coming to our company to train us. Through the three trainings, I got many takeaways. I will transfer what I’ve learnt to my colleagues to improve our department’s performance.)
